Faraci Lange managing partner, Stephen G. Schwarz, has been recognized as one of the 2015 Greater Rochester Award honorees in the Board Leadership category.
Presented by the Rochester Business Journal and the United Way of Greater Rochester Inc., the award honors nonprofit board chairs who have enhanced the mission and reputation of their agencies through effective leadership, fundraising, strategic planning, community collaboration and problem solving.
Stephen Schwarz was recognized for his service as board president of Starbridge, which partners with people with disabilities and their families to realize fulfilling possibilities in education, employment, health and community living.
Schwarz focuses his legal practice on personal injury and business litigation, including medical malpractice, serious auto accident cases, product liability, and toxic tort and environmental contamination cases in both state and federal courts. He resides in Fairport, N.Y.
Starbridge partners with people who have disabilities, their families and others who support them, to realize fulfilling possibilities in education, employment, health and community living, and to transform communities to include everyone.
The agency provides supports and services to thousands of people each year, primarily in the Finger Lakes and Western New York regions; but certain programs reach across New York State. The agency's main office is located on the Wolk Campus of the Al Sigl Community of Agencies in Rochester, N.Y.
The Faraci Lange team was present at the Awards luncheon held this week to support Schwarz as he received his award.
